This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, translating reporting and analytics needs into clear technical requirements. The analyst will gather reporting requirements, document detailed user stories, create JIRA tickets, and work closely with developers to ensure reports are built accurately.
The ideal candidate understands Salesforce data structures, is comfortable working with reporting and operational data, and has experience supporting patient access programs, pharmaceutical hubs, or drug manufacturer reporting environments.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
  • Partner with internal teams and external pharmaceutical clients to gather and document reporting requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Create and manage JIRA tickets for development teams to build reports and dashboards.
Salesforce Reporting Support
  • Work with stakeholders to define reporting needs using Salesforce data and operational program data.
  • Maintain familiarity with Salesforce objects, fields, and relationships to ensure accurate reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and answer data-related questions during report development.
Report Validation & Data Quality
  • Validate report outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Investigate discrepancies when stakeholders report incorrect or unexpected numbers.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and confirm reports meet requirements prior to release.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Serve as a liaison between operations, client services, product teams, and development teams.
  • Facilitate meetings to clarify reporting requirements and communicate priorities.
  • Provide documentation, walkthroughs, and training for newly developed reports.
Reporting Operations
  • Manage multiple reporting requests in an Agile development environment.
  • Ensure documentation and requirements remain organized and accessible.
  • Support ongoing improvements to reporting processes and documentation standards.
