Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapy strategies for clients, conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to tailor interventions to their unique needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of client records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care through interdisciplinary communication and shared treatment plans.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in workshops and staying vigilant about current mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will work primarily with clients facing a spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Many clients may have limited access to traditional mental health services, making your role crucial in bridging that gap. By employing a compassionate approach, you will foster a trusting environment that encourages open communication and healing.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• Active and unrestricted LPC licensure in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, with a preference for those who have worked in clinical settings.
• Strong ethical understanding and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and safety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with diverse clientele.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software and other relevant technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse treatment, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Experience in remote counseling practices, particularly through telehealth platforms, will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

• The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 70,000 and 90,000 annually, depending on experience and caseload.
