We are currently looking for a Mobile Bilingual Safety Coordinator who will create, support, and audit our safety program.


Position Summary:

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for accomplishing the duties of leading, conducting, instructing, training, and executing an environmental, health, and safety program that assures control and prevention of incidents, injuries, and hazards. EHS Coordinator must be able to identify and reduce risks present in the day-to-day operations. This position has considerable travel involved as jobs are fluid in their geographical assignments.


The Safety Coordinator position will review, evaluate, audit, and provide all required safety training. Will assist in safety talks with supervisors and team members. The Safety Coordinator will assure all required environmental, health, safety, and security activities are accomplished as required by regulatory or policy requirements. The Safety Coordinator will conduct the daily activities of daily walk-through inspections, audits, task evaluations, testing, training, briefings and reporting of performance measures. The heart of this position is to identify and integrate proper, safe work procedures, cultivate proper attitudes in a production atmosphere without jeopardizing team members or minimizing EHS in the various workplace job sites. This position uses a hands-on approach to help assure organizational compliance of applicable OSHA and EPA federal, state, local and corporate safety, health and environmental regulatory requirements. This position will evaluate, identify and assure that the sites follow and adhere to proven and standardized EHS procedures, policies and rules by all assigned team members, visitors, customers and third party contractors.


Essential Functions/ Key Results Areas:

  • Reports directly to Corporate Safety Manager.
  • Establish and maintain required EHS standards to ensure the environmental, health, safety and security of team members assigned in their regions.
  • Assure compliance with applicable AHB corporate policies, OSHA and EPA federal, state, local and corporate EHS regulations/requirements in region.
  • Help create a culture of injury-free attitudes within the team by demonstrating honest, genuine care and passion for safety that is demonstrated by the Safety Coordinator
  • Conduct routine safety audits with site personnel to identify work hazards and exposures. Determine trends and action plans for remediation and corrective actions.
  • Provide documented reports of findings with corrective actions for resolution to audit or observable findings.
  • Able to effectively communicate with field supervision and personnel.
  • Ability to stay focused on goals, responsibilities and developing trend analysis process to help guide safety accident/injury elimination goals
  • Able to provide clear, effective written and oral communication to fellow team members and leadership
  • Must be able to deal with potential injury and incidents as the EHS Coordinator.
  • Be able to assist the Corporate Safety Manager in determining root causes, and then provide those findings that are concise, accurate and timely.
  • Must be skilled and knowledgeable in hazard and exposure identification, auditing and inspections; conducting EHS training.
  • Travel will be required. Will be at least 80% travel.


Education / Qualifications / Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in industrial safety, industrial hygiene or related discipline is preferred or a minimum of 5 years of EHS experience
  • Must be fluent in Spanish


Experience / Knowledge:

  • A solid, demonstrable working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Federal, State and local regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Must be able to use the Microsoft suite of tools including Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Must possess a valid driver license with a clear record
