Service Coordinator / Service Writer (Remote – Part-Time)Support Arizona & Texas Operations

Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week with opportunity for additional hours as the company grows.

1836 HD is expanding and is looking for an organized, customer-focused Service Coordinator / Service Writer to become the primary point of contact for customers throughout Arizona and Texas.

This position is much more than a traditional dispatcher. You'll serve as the customer's advocate from the initial phone call through scheduling, technician communication, repair updates, payment coordination, and final customer follow-up.

What You'll Do
  • Answer inbound customer calls, emails, and online service requests.
  • Qualify new customers and create service opportunities.
  • Schedule and dispatch mobile technicians throughout Arizona and Texas.
  • Build and manage repair orders from start to finish.
  • Communicate repair progress with customers.
  • Coordinate approvals with warranty companies and third-party providers.
  • Order parts and coordinate delivery for field technicians.
  • Track job progress and keep technicians informed.
  • Assist with estimates, invoicing, and payment collection.
  • Perform customer follow-up and final quality assurance calls.
  • Maintain accurate customer records using CRM and service management software.
  • Support executive leadership with administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Previous experience as a:

  • Service Writer
  • Service Advisor
  • Dispatcher
  • Service Coordinator
  • BDC Representative
  • Customer Success Representative
  • Operations Coordinator

is strongly preferred.

Qualifications
  • College degree strongly preferred but not required.
  • Candidates without a degree will absolutely be considered if they demonstrate exceptional experience, intelligence, professionalism, and communication skills during the interview process.
  • Minimum two years of customer service, service writing, dispatch, or coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Comfortable learning CRM and service management software.
  • Excellent typing, documentation, and written communication skills.
  • Professional phone presence.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet home office.
Compensation

Hourly Rate

  • $18–$25/hour for candidates with less than three years of relevant experience.
  • Candidates earning above $22/hour should demonstrate exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and aptitude.
  • Up to $30/hour for experienced Service Coordinators, Service Writers, or individuals with proven management experience.
Monthly Performance Bonus

This position also participates in our performance incentive program.

Service Coordinators who achieve $100,000 in monthly gross profit from the work they write become eligible for a 2.5% override on the profit generated from those repair orders.
