Job Profile Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to partner with business and technology leaders across the enterprise. In this role, you will lead complex discovery and analysis, identify opportunities for process improvement and technology-enabled transformation, and translate business challenges into actionable recommendations that deliver measurable value.

The Senior Business Analyst will independently lead cross-functional discovery, assess current-state processes, design scalable future-state solutions, and develop business cases and recommendations. The role will guide opportunities involving artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, workflow optimization, self-service capabilities, system improvements, and broader operational transformation through intake, evaluation, prioritization, governance, and implementation planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Transformation Discovery & Strategic Analysis

  • Independently lead enterprise-level discovery from initial intake through recommendation and leadership decision, using workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions to uncover business challenges, pain points, manual processes, and transformation opportunities.
  • Analyze complex, cross-functional processes and translate findings into clear problem statements, business needs, scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, desired outcomes, requirements, and actionable recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, workflow optimization, self service solutions, system improvements, and process redesign.

Business Process Improvement & Future-State Design

  • Lead current-state and future-state process mapping across departments and stakeholder groups, identifying bottlenecks, redundancies, handoff failures, rework, control gaps, manual effort, and user-experience challenges.
  • Design scalable future-state processes, workflows, operating models, and supporting recommendations that improve efficiency, quality, scalability, compliance, and employee or customer experience.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define success measures, expected benefits, and value-realization approaches.

Business Cases, Prioritization & Executive Recommendations

  • Develop business cases, ROI analyses, cost-benefit and feasibility assessments, and implementation recommendations that quantify operational, financial, experience, risk, and strategic impact.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and sequence opportunities based on business value, complexity, risk, readiness, dependencies, and alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Present decision-ready findings, options, tradeoffs, and recommendations to the digital transformation team, governance committees, directors, and executive leaders.

Requirements, Solution Evaluation & Delivery Readiness

  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, workflow, data, reporting, security, and operational requirements, including use cases, acceptance criteria, process flows, and traceability documentation appropriate to the initiative.
  • Lead or support RFIs, RFPs, vendor and solution evaluations, contract reviews, and recommendation activities.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and user acceptance to confirm solutions meet documented business needs and expected outcomes.
  • Partner with project, product, architecture, engineering, security, data, and operational teams to transition initiatives from discovery into implementation planning.

AI, Automation & Emerging Technology Enablement

  • Partner with business units to identify and assess high-value AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technology use cases, documenting workflows, business requirements, expected benefits, risks, controls, and human oversight needs.
  • Conduct preliminary solution and readiness assessments with technical and governance teams, helping opportunities advance from ideation through discovery, proof of concept, recommendation, and implementation planning.
  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot and other approved technologies to accelerate research, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate Digital Transformation intake, analysis, and governance processes.

Portfolio, Intake & Governance

  • Lead the analysis and maturation of opportunities entering the Digital Transformation intake process, maintaining visibility into backlog readiness, next steps, risks, decisions, and dependencies.
  • Guide stakeholders through architecture, security, AI, data, legal, compliance, procurement, and technology review requirements.
  • Prepare business justifications, supporting materials, analyses, and recommendations for intake reviews and leadership or governance decisions.
  • Track opportunity progression, cycle times, outcomes, and value-realization measures.

Stakeholder Leadership & Practice Maturity

  • Build trusted relationships and facilitate alignment among business leaders, subject matter experts, technology teams, and external partners, including situations with competing priorities or differing perspectives.
  • Establish and continuously improve templates, standards, methods, and best practices for discovery, process documentation, requirements, and business case development.
  • Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to junior or mid-level business analysts, reviewing deliverables for quality, consistency, and executive readiness.
  • Contribute to the continued maturity and scalability of the Digital Transformation operating model.

Experience

  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, process improvement, digital transformation, management consulting, PMO, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading complex, cross-functional discovery and analysis initiatives.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions involving business leaders, subject matter experts, and technical teams.
  • Strong experience with process mapping, requirements gathering, future-state design, business case development, and executive recommendations.
  • Experience identifying or evaluating AI, automation, analytics, workflow, or other technology enabled transformation opportunities.
  • Experience supporting vendor evaluations, RFIs, RFPs, solution selection, testing, or implementation planning.
