Serenity Mindscape is looking for a dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position, based remotely, allows for the flexibility of working with a diverse range of clients, primarily children and their families dealing with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This position allows for a remote work setting, providing flexibility while ensuring that therapists can deliver high-quality outpatient therapy services. Our team collaborates through virtual meetings and communication, fostering a supportive community among professionals committed to helping children and families. As part of our outpatient office, therapists often engage with clients through home visits or in our centrally located therapeutic facilities, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to care.

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions with clients in their homes or at our outpatient center, utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored to each client’s needs.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote healthy coping mechanisms, anger management strategies, and social skills enhancement.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other disciplines, continuously sharing insights and recommendations for client success.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapy sessions and treatment planning, adhering to compliance standards including intake assessments and progress notes.
• Participate in monthly team meetings, presenting case updates, and contributing to program development initiatives that support client and organizational goals.

The therapist will primarily work with children and teenagers (ages 3-20) with a variety of developmental challenges, including intellectual disabilities. Our client population comes from diverse backgrounds, providing a rich and rewarding experience for therapists looking to make a multi-dimensional impact. We emphasize culturally competent care and encourage applications from bilingual therapists, specifically those fluent in Spanish or Portuguese, to enhance our service delivery to non-English speaking families.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Availability for at least 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with flexibility for weekend sessions as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for client home visits.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting, prior to employment.

• Previous experience working with children diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in providing positive behavior support strategies.
• Experience working in team-oriented environments and collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
