Watertown Regional Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative team as a full-time member. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting therapy sessions through various formats such as in-home visits and virtual meetings, ensuring comfort and accessibility for clients.
• Facilitating group therapy sessions aimed at providing support, sharing experiences, and promoting collective healing among participants.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions that address behavioral issues, such as anger management and coping strategies, while working collaboratively with families.
• Enhancing decision-making and behavioral management skills among youth and caretakers within a family context.
• Documenting all therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes within specified time frames to maintain thorough client records.
• Engaging in regular collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to optimize client care.
• Participating in monthly meetings to discuss progress, share recommendations, and contribute to the overall team strategies.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals and families facing mental health challenges, including emotional distress and behavioral concerns. You will utilize a strengths-based approach to facilitate recovery and empower clients, focusing particularly on youth and their caretakers within the family unit. Your role will extend to managing high-risk behaviors and improving overall family dynamics, all while fostering a safe and nurturing atmosphere.

• Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• Possession of a valid and active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
• Availability to work at least 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, typically from 4-7 pm.
• Experience in providing positive behavior support and therapeutic techniques beneficial for families and youth.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for in-home therapy sessions.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience. Familiarity with community mental health resources, coupled with training in family therapy modalities, will be highly valued. Experience working with diverse populations is essential to help ensure the delivery of inclusive care that resonates with all clients.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. Additional benefits include:
