Diamond Driller - Surface Exploration
We are hiring experienced Surface Exploration Diamond Drillers for a remote camp project in Alaska. Candidates must have proven diamond drilling experience and helicopter-supported drill move experience, along with the ability to work safely and effectively in rugged, remote settings. This position runs on a 4-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off rotation in a remote camp environment
Location: Remote Dry Camp, Alaska
Project and Equipment

  • Remote helicopter-supported drill program
  • Fly In- Fly Out
  • Hydracore 2000 diamond drills
  • Coring with HQ and NQ
  • Surface exploration
Start Date: June 2026
Duration: 5 Months
Hours of Work: 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 12 hr days.
Key Responsibilities
  • Extract core samples using the Hydracore 2000 Diamond Core Drills.
  • Monitor instruments such as pressure gauges, feed or weight indicators as well as observe the volume, colour and consistency of the returns from the hole.
  • Employ various sampling techniques according to project and client requirements.
  • Record keeping as required/requested by the client and or Company.
  • Operate and troubleshoot drill and ancillary equipment, including, but not limited to; trucks, support vehicles, pumps, heaters, compressors, mud re-circulation systems, etc.
  • Supervise Drill Assistant and the drill crew to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Ensure Driller Assistant maintains and organizes equipment, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
  • Must maintain and possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Must have minimum 5 years' experience in exploration surface drilling.
  • Must have helicopter experience.
  • Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment.
  • Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.

Compensation
Competitive base rate + meter bonus.
