Remote roofing coordinators often face challenges such as ensuring clear communication with field teams, accurately tracking project progress without being on-site, and managing schedules across different locations. What is remote roofing?

Remote roofing refers to the use of technology, such as drones, satellite imagery, or specialized software, to inspect, assess, or manage roofing projects without needing to be physically present on-site. This approach is commonly used for initial inspections, measurements, damage assessments, and project planning. It increases efficiency, improves safety, and allows roofing professionals to serve clients in distant or inaccessible locations. Remote roofing is especially valuable after severe weather events or when quick assessments are needed.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote roofing specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Roofing Specialist, you need strong knowledge of roofing systems, building codes, and inspection standards, often supported by industry certifications or prior hands-on experience. Familiarity with digital inspection tools, drone technology, and project management software is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail help you effectively assess issues and coordinate with both clients and on-site teams. These skills are crucial for accurately evaluating roofing needs, ensuring safety, and delivering effective solutions without being physically present.

Job description

Business Development Coordinator - Remote (W2 + Benefits)
Miller Connections is a small American based remote call-center with high-performance, multi-vertical appointment-setting operation hiring motivated Business Development Coordinators for our fully remote team. In this role, you'll make outbound calls to schedule qualified appointments for client sales teams across multiple industries. This is a W2 employee position with a guaranteed base wage, weekly commissions on top, and real benefits...not a contractor gig.

What you'll be doing
-Making outbound calls to prospective customers using our provided dialer system
-Qualifying prospects and scheduling confirmed appointments for client sales teams
-Representing multiple client verticals including fiber internet, home security, roofing, and low-voltage equipment
-Following proven call scripts with confidence while handling objections professionally
-Accurately logging call outcomes and dispositions in our platform

Compensation — base PLUS commission, not one or the other
-Guaranteed base of $11.00/hour for every hour you work, paid regardless of production
-Weekly commissions stack on top of your base, with rates that climb as your production climbs
-Realistic numbers: agents at typical production earn $550–$750/week all-in; our top producers clear $900+ in strong weeks.

Benefits (W2 employees)
+$240/month tax-free health allowance toward the insurance plan you choose — usable for health, dental, and vision
+Retirement plan with company match up to 3% of total compensation, including commissions
+Paid time off, paid breaks, and employer-paid Social Security, Medicare, unemployment insurance, and workers' comp coverage
+Benefits begin the first of the month after your 30-day introductory period

Schedule
This is a structured full-time role: 7 paid hours per day, 5 days per week (about 6 hours of calling plus a paid hour of breaks). Schedules rotate between Monday–Friday and Tuesday–Saturday, so you'll work about two Saturdays per month with a weekday off those weeks. If you want a set schedule you can build your life around instead of gig-work chaos, this is perfect.

What we're looking for
+Previous outbound sales, appointment-setting, or call center experience
+Reliable home office setup. Desktop or laptop, solid internet, headset, and a quiet working environment
+Strong phone presence... Confident, articulate, and personable
+Self-motivated, coachable, and consistent. We invest in training and promote from production
+Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required

Company Description

Miller Connections is an appointment-setting and business development company connecting homeowners and businesses with trusted service providers across the country. From our roots in Dayton, Ohio, we've built a fully remote team that sets qualified appointments for clients in fiber internet, home security, roofing, and other home-service industries, powered by our own custom-built platform that tracks every appointment, every outcome, and every dollar earned with complete transparency.

We're a small operation by design. That means your production gets seen, your growth gets coached, and your ideas actually reach the owner. We believe the best appointment is an honest one with real customers, correctly informed, genuinely expecting the visit, and that standard has earned us long-term client partnerships.
