Role: MES Solution Architect

Location US (Remote)

Job Description/ Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement integration solutions (API, REST/SOAP, OPC-UA, MQTT, OPC DA/AE, file drop, database replication).
  • Develop and configure middleware, adapters, and drivers to connect PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP and printers.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, device connectivity, network issues, print/driver problems and application interfacing faults.
  • Plan, test and execute integration changes through change control and release schedules; ensure rollback plans exist.
  • Validate integrations after change; maintain version control and deployment artifacts.
  • Maintain integration designs and interface contracts (message specs, data maps).
  • Train support staff and vendors on integration procedures and recovery steps when needed.
  • Manage technical coordination with equipment manufacturers, MES and Other systems owners.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve reliability and optimize data flows (e.g., centralize print management, queue optimization, caching).
