Remote Roadside Assistance information

What is a Remote Roadside Assistance job?

A Remote Roadside Assistance job involves providing virtual support to drivers who are experiencing vehicle issues. Instead of physically going to the location, you assist customers over the phone or through an app by diagnosing problems, offering step-by-step guidance, and coordinating services like towing or locksmiths if needed. This job requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of common vehicle issues. Many companies provide training and scripts to help you assist customers efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Roadside Assistance position, and why are they important?

To excel in Remote Roadside Assistance, you need strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge of vehicles, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS systems, and customer support platforms is typically required, and some employers may prefer candidates with automotive certifications such as ASE. Outstanding communication, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure help individuals thrive in this role. These skills are crucial for efficiently diagnosing issues, coordinating assistance remotely, and providing excellent service to stranded customers.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of someone in a Remote Roadside Assistance role?

As a Remote Roadside Assistance professional, your daily tasks usually involve answering calls or inquiries from drivers experiencing vehicle trouble, assessing problems based on customer descriptions, and coordinating appropriate help such as dispatching tow trucks or advising on simple fixes. You’ll use specialized software to track requests, update customers on estimated arrival times, and log service details. Collaboration with tow truck drivers, repair personnel, and sometimes insurance companies is common to ensure smooth service delivery. You will also need to stay updated on local coverage areas and maintain a calm, reassuring demeanor with customers in stressful situations.

Job description

Description
If you're comfortable working in the Superior Courts in King County, Pierce County, Thurston County, or Snohomish County, that's a bonus.
Truce Law is looking for a family law paralegal with a minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in the state of Washington to join our legal team. Our ideal paralegal is organized, detail-oriented, and ready to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as declarations, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for hearing preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. If you're interested in advancing your paralegal career with growth opportunities, we want to hear from you.
Our law firm sets itself apart by marketing to clients who are looking for amicable and collaborative approaches to divorce, with contested divorce cases being the exception at our firm. If you want to spend more time with clients who are interested in settling their divorce peacefully through negotiation, Truce Law is the place for you.
As a remote family law paralegal at our firm, you'll work with legal mentors who have decades of experience helping clients negotiate difficult divorce challenges, while also playing a leadership role on a team committed to helping families achieve faster results by resolving legal issues with less conflict and less litigation.
Clients want to negotiate healthier co-parenting arrangements for their families and hire us because they don't want to go to court. We are looking for a team player who loves creative problem-solving and who wants to help couples and families move forward using conflict resolution rather than an adversarial approach.
Our team loves working for Truce Law because of our relaxed atmosphere and our focus on collaborative law, which means our paralegals aren't regularly facing the kinds of higher conflict cases (and the associated stress involved). Our mentors are committed to nurturing your progress and development as a family paralegal within our firm.
We even have sponsored employees, so they could begin the Rule 6 program (https://www.wsba.org/for-legal-professionals/join-the-legal-profession-in-wa/law-clerk). Finally, we have a diverse staff from around the world with quarterly events, both online and in person, to bring the team together.
Benefits Include
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (employer-paid coverage for employees)
  • Four weeks Paid Time Off (Three weeks PTO + One-week paid winter holiday closure).
  • 10 paid holidays
  • 401(k) with 3% firm contribution
  • Flexible schedule
  • Performance bonuses
  • Firm-provided technology and support
  • Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA)
  • Professional Development Stipend
  • AAA Membership: Roadside assistance, identity theft protection, discounted pet insurance

Apply with confidence; your application will be kept completely confidential.
Responsibilities
Casework
• Draft letters, reports, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct client interviews and gather relevant facts and information.
• Support attorneys by preparing documents for meetings, depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Perform legal research and compile technical information as needed.
• Manage discovery requests and responses.
• Coordinate and attend meetings with attorneys, clients, vendors, and internal staff.
Case Management
• Work directly with the pod to optimize case flow.
• Ensure calendar deadlines and case milestones are accurately reflected in the Firm's Case Management System.
• Review upcoming daily, weekly, and monthly appointments, court appearances, and tasks to prioritize workload.
• Monitor and triage client communications to ensure timely responses.
Administrative
• Contemporaneously enter time into the Case Management System (Clio).
• Participate in Daily Team Huddles.
All paralegals are required to meet the Firm's minimum billable requirements and report progress toward their assigned goals.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience working as a paralegal for a family law firm
• Strong digital skills, including knowledge of Clio, GoTo meeting, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, and Google platforms
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience conducting research and discovery
• Good people skills to work with teammates and clients
• Ability to work independently AND collaboratively in a remote environment
• Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certification
