Who We Are
Imagine Pediatrics is a tech enabled, pediatrician led medical group reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We deliver 24/7 virtual first and in home medical, behavioral, and social care, working alongside families, providers, and health plans to break down barriers to quality care. We do not replace existing care teams; we enhance them, providing an extra layer of support with compassion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to children with medical complexity.
The primary location for this role is remote with travel to patient homes Knoxville, TN (100-150 mile radius), up to 75% travel. The schedule is expected to be Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm local time with flexibility based on member needs, visit locations, and virtual acute care support. Active TN licensure required.
What You'll Do
As a Pediatric Home Care Specialist & Acute Care Registered Nurse, you serve as the clinical bridge between home-based care and virtual acute care. You will deliver high-quality, family-centered care in the home and community while flexing into virtual acute care nursing to support urgent pediatric needs.
In this role you will:
  • Travel to members' homes and community settings to deliver episodic, longitudinal, and urgent pediatric care.
  • Build trusted, compassionate relationships with children and families, ensuring coordinated, culturally responsive care.
  • Collaborate within an integrated care team including physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, navigators, social workers, and therapists.
  • Conduct and document in-home assessments; perform procedures such as ear irrigation, point-of-care testing, IV placement and lab draws, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Provide patient and family education, follow-up care, and care coordination using the Imagine Pediatrics platform.
  • Flex into the virtual acute care RN role to conduct virtual assessments and manage urgent pediatric needs using established protocols.
  • Document care in the EMR (Athena) and communicate with families through Imagine Pediatrics' proprietary application.
  • Utilize virtual platforms and digital tools confidently to support care delivery.

What You Bring & How You Qualify
First and foremost, you're passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve.
  • Active TN RN license required, and compact license preferred.
  • Current residence in or around the Knoxville (Maryville TN area).
  • PALS & BLS required
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is required.
  • EMS (EMT/P) experience and 2+ years of pediatric home care experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of pediatric nursing experience, ideally including high-acuity settings (ED, urgent care, transport, or similar).
  • 1-2 years in pediatric emergency medicine experience.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
  • Comfort driving long distances in varied weather conditions.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in the home environment.
  • Comfort with EMRs, virtual platforms, and mobile documentation tools.
