Position Overview

Health Access Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this crucial role, you will provide individualized support, assessment, and counseling services to clients at our Detox Center, enabling them to overcome challenges related to substance use and mental health. As a key player in our organization, you will contribute to positive client outcomes while collaborating with community partners to foster resource access and empowerment.

Work Environment

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' unique social, emotional, and environmental challenges, ensuring a personalized approach.
  • Develop and implement detailed service plans that outline specific goals, interventions, and progress metrics tailored to client needs.
  • Provide individual and family counseling, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques designed to promote healing and growth.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish actionable and personalized service plans, connecting them with relevant community resources for additional support.
  • Offer immediate crisis intervention services, including risk assessments and safety planning, to ensure client welfare during critical times.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to coordinate services, thereby enhancing the support network for clients.
  • Engage in community outreach efforts to raise awareness of the Detox Center’s services and promote engagement from potential clients.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional training to continually improve service delivery and team effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position uniquely focuses on individuals and families grappling with substance abuse issues, providing you with an opportunity to make a profound impact on a population in need of specialized support. You will engage with clients at various stages of their recovery journeys, offering vital resources and support that facilitate successful transitions from detox to sustained recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is essential.
  • Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required for this position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social service systems, including a deep understanding of social justice issues and trauma-informed care methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, along with cultural competence, and problem-solving capabilities are essential for success in this role.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience within a social service agency or related environment, specifically in dealing with substance use and mental health disorders, is highly preferred.
  • Experience with case management and counseling practices that are client-centered and evidence-based.
