Responsibilities

USA Health Providence is looking for full-time board eligible/board certified Anesthesiologist to join our elite team.  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with USA Health Providence to provide medical services to patients with a collegial team of physicians. USA Health Providence is a full-service, 349-bed hospital with 24/7 emergency care, State of the Art Hybrid OR, personalized maternity care and advanced programs for heart care, bariatric surgery and cancer care.   

  • Our position would have you joining a stable and experienced, 9-member group of physicians (1/9 call rotation) supported by 27 CRNA's.  Plans to expand the group to 10 physicians.    
  • Generous sign-on and CME reimbursement  
  • 9 weeks off per year plus off all post-call days (320 hours of PTO to include holidays plus 5 paid CME days)  
  • Traditional waterfall schedule  
  • Immediate seniority  
  • Rotating department chair with stipend  
  • All case types + OB some CV  
  • Congenial medical staff  
  • We boast a large OR facility, 21 OR’s, 6 GI Labs, and generally are finished with cases by 3pm.   

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree, licensure with the state of Alabama as a MD or DO, board certification eligible in clinical field of study, current DEA registration and current State of Alabama Controlled Substance Certificate, and eligible for USA Hospitals staff privileges.
