Prime Stable Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative telehealth team. This remote position allows you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your own space, providing flexibility and comfort for both you and your clients. We utilize advanced telehealth technology, including secure electronic health record systems like AVATAR, to ensure seamless communication and documentation. • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and interviews, documenting clients' mental health histories and treatment progress from start to finish.
• Evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and cognitive health to create tailored intervention plans.
• Design and implement personalized treatment strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups that respond to their unique needs and circumstances.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage client participation and promote healing.
• Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust as necessary, providing ongoing support and motivation for clients toward their recovery goals.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to optimize client care.
• Maintain open communication with external healthcare providers, especially for clients requiring hospitalization or additional medical support.
• Empower clients and their families by providing resources and strategies to overcome mental and behavioral challenges.

You will work with a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals struggling with anxiety and depression to families facing relational challenges. Our telehealth model allows us to reach underserved populations in Georgia and beyond, enabling greater accessibility to mental health services. You will play a critical role in addressing a wide array of issues, including addiction, trauma, and mood disorders, using a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's specific needs.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• Completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) with a passing score.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to clients and collaborate with team members.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in client interactions.

• Previous experience providing mental health counseling is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar software, to support efficient client management.
• Experience with clients facing underlying physical health issues along with mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their potential effects on clients' treatment.
