 We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (Remote/ field-based in or near Dallas, TX) to join our dynamic team and drive strategic growth through innovative partnerships and market expansion initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in business strategy, sales development, and relationship management in high net worth personal lines insurance, with proven experience identifying opportunities, building high-value partnerships, and driving profitable revenue growth and retention of accounts. You will collaborate with cross functional teams including marketing, product management, underwriting, risk management and operations to deliver impactful business solutions and achieve organizational goals.  

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Develop and execute a territory business plan to drive top line growth, profitability, retention with existing partners and new agency appointments. 
  • Travel extensively throughout Texas to meet with prospective and current agents, delivering product training, marketing support, and relationship management. 
  • Identify high-potential agencies aligned with Vaultโ€™s high-net-worth market and onboard them through a consultative sales approach. 
  • Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and service teams to ensure seamless agent and client experience. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and agency performance to inform strategic decisions. 
  • Represent Vault at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. 

Requirements

 Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or agency management within the P&C insurance industry, preferably in the high-net-worth segment. 
  • Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products and distribution channels. 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with independent agents and brokers. 
  • Self-starter with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. 
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with frequent travel. 
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
