About the Role
We are currently hiring a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Hearings Department. This role is open to licensed attorneys or recent law school graduates who are close to obtaining licensure. You will support clients through the Social Security Disability process by preparing them for hearings, representing them before administrative law judges, and drafting appeals when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare clients for administrative hearings with professionalism and empathy
  • Represent clients during Social Security Disability hearings
  • Draft administrative appeals to the Appeals Council
  • Evaluate prospective clients to determine eligibility for representation
  • Maintain accurate records and manage deadlines using the firms case management system
Qualifications:
  • Active law license in Missouri or Kansas, or ability to obtain one within one month of hire
  • Strong legal writing and research skills
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage a high caseload with attention to detail
  • Experience with Social Security Disability law or appellate work is helpful but not required
Experience:
1 to 3 years of legal experience is preferred
