The Opportunity

As a dedicated Salesforce CRM Software Engineer-Mid- Level within Investment Experience Technology, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of Salesforce solutions that power member and advisor experiences across Investment Services. Working closely with senior engineers, architects, product teams, and business partners, you will help deliver scalable CRM capabilities leveraging Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Data Cloud, integrations, and modern engineering practices. This role is ideal for an engineer with solid Salesforce development experience who is ready to deepen technical expertise while contributing to a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in San Antonio; TX or Plano; TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions.

  • Investigates and resolves complex application and system technical problems and production issues through troubleshooting techniques.

  • Continually improves operations by conducting complex systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.

  • Prepares and installs complex solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

  • Follows the software development lifecycle.

  • Participates in design reviews and learns key system design principles.

  • Mentors junior engineers and may begin mentoring peer engineers; Review teammates' code.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years delivering solutions throughout the SDLC.

  • Hands-on experience developing with Salesforce Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs.

  • Experience troubleshooting application and production issues in enterprise environments.

  • Understanding ofSalesforce security, sharing model, governor limits,bulkification, and data modeling concepts.

  • 4+ years of Salesforce development experience using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, SOQL, and Salesforce platform capabilities.

  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Salesforce CRM, and Salesforce Data Cloud/CDP.

  • Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems using REST APIs, Bulk APIs, Platform Events, CDC, and asynchronous processing patterns.

  • Experience developing scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions while adhering to governor limits and platform best practices.

  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps and release management tools including Copado, Salesforce DX (SFDX), Git, GitLab CI, automated deployments, and test automation.

  • Experience with Copado user-story-based development, deployment automation, environment promotion, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices.

  • Experience with enterprise data integration, automated data processing, and Data Cloud implementations.

  • Experience with Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) or equivalent Salesforce test automation tools such as Provar, ACCELQ, or Tricentis Tosca. Experience automating Salesforce Lightning and Experience Cloud applications is preferred

  • Experienceparticipatingin solution design and architecture discussions.

  • Experience supporting wealth management, brokerage, financial planning, advisor, CRM, or regulatedfinancial servicesplatforms.

  • Salesforce PlatformDeveloper Icertification preferred; Platform Developer II, Administrator, FSC, or Data Cloud certifications are a plus.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $93,770- $179,240.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
