See Yourself as a Pricing Analyst III
The Pricing Analyst III is responsible for using their strong experience base in the analysis of Credit/Mortgage Insurance Pricing, Portfolio Risk Attribution, and Credit Risk Transfer Securitizations, the Pricing Analyst III will develop and present to Radian's leadership team ad-hoc financial and quantitative analyses. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy. In addition, this role will be responsible for the development of new pricing and return models, analysis based on market trends and developments and database management.
See Your Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance pricing analytics utilizing SAS, Python, Excel and Tableau related to projected portfolio returns, risk concentration and CRT performance. Present findings to Senior Leadership Team on a regular basis to influence pricing decisions.
  • Develop bespoke MI rate card pricing utilizing competitive intelligence, return thresholds, and desired portfolio composition to most efficiently deploy Radian's capital.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis related to mortgage insurance pricing, CRT portfolio analysis and competitive analysis.
  • Competitive Position Analytics: Perform analysis to adjust pricing as needed in order to maintain desired market share
  • Collecting and maintaining MI pricing intelligence thru the development of databases. Assist in the research and implementation of market data and variables to enhance pricing and financial forecasts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Your Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:
  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Work Experience: 4 or more years of prior work related experience

Additional Qualifications:
  • Analytical experience within the mortgage banking, Reinsurance, or financial services industry strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python, SAS, or SQL, Snowflake, and AWS or a similar programming language
  • Prior experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong understanding of pricing/valuation/ROC concepts and methods"
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks under deadlines
  • Ability to perform analysis and provide conclusions and recommendations
  • Experience manipulating large data sets
  • Attention to detail as demonstrated by effective time-management, good organizational skills and use of analytical thinking to solve problems.
  • Strong aptitude for analytics; demonstrated ability to draw value-added insights from large amounts of financial data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and show a demonstrated ability to absorb information quickly.
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Training / experience with Microsoft Office products; very high-level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to be a self-motivator and work independently, as well as work effectively with others.
  • Intellectually curious- is willing to question traditional ways of doing things and develop new approaches to old challenges
  • High level of interest in learning and utilizing advanced analytical and statistical methods
  • Demonstrated track record of success and increasing knowledge base
