This role offers a unique remote work environment, allowing you to engage with patients effectively while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. Though primarily remote, you will interact predominantly with school staff and students, engaging in virtual consultations that require adherence to best practices in mental health assessment and support. You will have the technological resources and systems in place to facilitate secure communication and documentation.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments to accurately gauge individual needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, addressing their unique mental health goals and integrating cultural considerations into the treatment process.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, drawing from methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) across various formats, tailored to individual, couple, family, and group settings.
• Offer crisis intervention services in urgent situations, working alongside other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients experiencing acute mental health distress.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to effectively manage mental health conditions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness through outcome assessments, allowing for dynamic adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health to enrich your clinical practice and service delivery.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain the confidentiality of all patient information, upholding the highest standards of professional integrity.

You will primarily work with a diverse array of students and their families in a school setting, which requires cultural competency and adaptability. Your assessments and interventions will be geared toward addressing mental health challenges common among youths, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and transitional challenges. Collaborating with educators and school counselors will be vital to creating a supportive network for each student.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
• An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Proficient ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective rapport-building with patients from varied cultural backgrounds.

• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and interventions tailored for children and adolescents.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and understanding of team dynamics.
