Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will:

  • Document comprehensive patient progress notes and maintain updated clinical records in compliance with Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing consultations to clinic management regarding behavioral health needs and program evaluation metrics.
  • Educate patients on self-management techniques and lifestyle modifications, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse client base within our community, including individuals facing various mental health challenges and psychosocial issues. Our approach emphasizes cultural competence and sensitivity, allowing you to build meaningful connections with patients and their families. You will facilitate their journey toward improved mental health, collaborating closely with primary care providers and specialty mental health facilities when necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
  • A current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mental health assessment practices, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, and behavioral therapy techniques.
  • Familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses and psychotherapeutic methodologies.
  • A solid understanding of the social effects of mental health conditions on individuals and families.

Compensation and Benefits
