Job Description:

The Transportation Manager, Global Logistics is an advanced individual contributor responsible for centralized, global ownership of FormFactor's transportation strategy and execution across distribution and manufacturing operations. This role drives cost optimization, risk mitigation, and scalable logistics governance by standardizing transportation providers, contracts, routing, audit controls, and performance management. The position serves as the single accountable owner for global transportation programs supporting semiconductor manufacturing, capital equipment moves, and site lifecycle activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and execute the global transportation strategy, providing centralized control over transportation modes, providers, routing, and spend to reduce cost, risk, and operational inefficiency.
  • Establish and maintain standardized global transportation governance, including routing guides, carrier qualification standards, performance metrics, and spend forecasting.
  • Manage global transportation providers, including payable carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and specialized logistics vendors, with accountability for compliance, performance, and service continuity.
  • Lead standardized carrier contracting and contract compliance, ensuring consistent liability, insurance, service level, confidentiality, and regulatory terms across regions.
  • Enforce authorized carrier usage and vendor dependency controls to minimize operational, financial, and compliance risk.
  • Drive transportation cost reduction initiatives through systematic rate validation, accessorial and freight invoice auditing, volume leverage strategies, and insurance optimization.
  • Ensure invoice accuracy and efficiency through customs, duty, and freight charge validation, including PO and STO matching and auditready documentation.
  • Support enterprise planning through transportation spend analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling aligned to volume growth and business demand.
  • Ensure compliance with global transportation, trade, and customs regulations while minimizing liability and risk exposure.
  • Serve as the dedicated logistics owner for capital equipment shipments, facility standups, site expansions, site decommissioning activities, and ad hoc crating and rigging requirements.
  • Partner crossfunctionally with Manufacturing, Facilities, Engineering, Finance, Trade Compliance, Procurement, and external providers to ensure safe, compliant, and costeffective execution.
  • Enable scalable growth by implementing standardized routing, provider performance management, competitive sourcing frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting a sustainable global transportation model.
