Job description

Senior Network Engineer to design and support enterprise on-premises and cloud networks (Azure/Google). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco and Palo Alto technologies and excels in troubleshooting complex issues. This role involves both on-site and remote work opportunities, fostering a collaborative environment for continuous learning and improvement. This is a project-based role that includes an on-call rotation, and we are looking for a strong team player.

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

  • 10 years relevant network experience including hands-on configurations / operational support.
  • Team player committed to the success of the team.
  • Network Management tools (SolarWinds)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communications and time management skills
  • PALO / CCNP certification is a plus
  • Extensive hands-on experience with routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP
  • Strong understanding of Wireshark captures.
  • Cisco ASA technology
  • Palo Firewalls / Panorama
  • Building and troubleshooting VPNs
  • Citrix Load Balancers
  • Cloud technologies (Google/Equinix/Azure) is a plus
    • Hands on experience with Google and Azure Clouds is a must!
    • VPC peering / VPN concepts, configuration /troubleshooting
    • Log-explorer and filter on flows in question.
    • Understanding of Equinix Partner interconnects
    • Google native load balancers
    • Experience with programming language Terraform
    • Experience with code management tool Git (GitHub)
  • Use of Automation tools (Python) is a plus
  • ACI - is a plus
  • Wireless (Cisco) is a plus

Job Responsibility

1.Responsible for engineering and integrity of the networking and communication system's software, hardware, and configurations.
2.Responsible for identifying, engineering/designing and programming of networking infrastructure and communication applications.
3.Develops knowledge base documents and conducts knowledge transfer among engineering team.
4.Assists in the review and evaluation of project requests and recommends appropriate action.
5.Administers installation and repair services.
6.Responsible for first level problem resolution for all health system locations.
7.Gives guidance and direction to engineering team and outside service technicians.
8.Operates under limited guidance and work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
9.Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.

Job Qualification

Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
