Job description

  • Prepare quotations for complex radio communications system based on customer and partner requirements, utilizing expertise in system design, product knowledge, and RF propagation tools; 35%.
  • Serve as the technical lead in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including reviewing RFP requirements, developing preliminary system designs, preparing technical documentation, creating system drawings, addressing detailed technical specifications, and compiling equipment and services pricing; 41%.
  • Support capture management for complex and strategic RFPs by contributing to Blue Sheet activities and pre-RFP engagement; 3%.
  • Conduct comprehensive industry and market research on emerging products and technologies to develop subject matter expertise, with a primary focus on validating solutions that support organizational partnership and business development initiatives; 3%.
  • Provide technical sales training to Partners and Sales Teams on new products and engineering tools; 3%.
  • Conduct on-site inspections at customer locations to assess existing radio and dispatch communication systems in preparation for future upgrades; 5%.
  • Evaluate all components of the communications infrastructure, including generators, shelters, grounding systems, towers, DC power supplies, and other related site development elements; 5%.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert and industry representative by delivering presentations on various technical topics at partner webinars, industry trade shows, partner meetings, and customer events; 3%. 
 
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Electrical Design Engineer, RF Test Engineer, or any occupation, job title, position involving Radio Frequency (RF) infrastructure, RF technologies, and RF standards.

Must also have experience in the following: 2 years of professional experience applying Agile and Scrum methodologies to streamline sales and project workflows. 2 years of professional experience performing RF system optimization, including signal analysis, frequency planning, and interference mitigation. 2 years of experience presenting technical solutions and vendor training to audiences of 10 or more people. 3 years of professional experience designing and deploying Radio Frequency (RF) communication infrastructure using Atoll, iBwave, and TEMS. 3 years of professional experience interpreting and analyzing RF performance data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and coverage maps. 3 years of professional experience designing, developing, and executing project plans and industry standards and protocols. 3 years of professional experience drafting Requests for Proposals. 3 years of experience performing radio design for county or state public safety governments using Conventional or Trunked Simulcast technology. 3 years of experience creating system drawings of P25 or DMR radio topology in Microsoft Visio.

$127,171 - $140,000 a year
