affordable cost. The Company's portfolio of core technology and products offer unique
capabilities in the areas of high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, cyber
security as well as remote sensing applications.
Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced and talented RF/Systems Engineer to be part of our
developmental efforts. As an RF/Systems Engineer you will be responsible for
researching, designing, developing, and applying novel and advanced physical effects
in the fields of photonics, quantum sensing, and beyond to the practical missions of RF
communications and signal intelligence to provide new strategic capabilities for the
warfighter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in experimentation and
the scientific method, having designed and carried out experiments and test plans, as
well as a strong background in RF and electromagnetic theory, simulation, and
correlating theoretical and simulated predictions with experimentally measured results.
This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise and skills in a
challenging and innovative technology environment.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of quantum technology,
contributing to the advancement of groundbreaking solutions in the rapidly evolving field
of quantum computing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of several platforms based around the application of
classical and quantum photonics to tactical RF systems as an RF/Systems
    engineer.
  • Work alongside other physicists and engineers to design novel and mission-
    enabling tactical RF systems
  • Evaluate critical component performance via board-level and system-level lab
testing (LNAs, HPAs, filters, couplers, mixing blocks, etc.)
  • Work with hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, and quantum scientists
during various phases of lab testing.
  • Evaluate, design, or simulate custom RF antenna apertures, microwave and
photonic structures, and devise methods to fabricate and experimentally verify
    performance.
  • Integrate custom components into larger tactical systems.
  • Maintain documentation expected at milestone events during the entire design
cycle (theory of operations, manufacturing documentation, validation testing
    results, etc.)
  • Perform integration testing to validate system performance.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics, Engineering Physics, RF Engineering, or
Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Knowledge of antennas and microwave/photonic circuits.
  • Experience with at least one computational EM solver (Ansys HFSS, CST
Microwave Studio, FEKO, AWG Microwave Office, or others) as well as
understanding of the underlying mathematics of various simulation methods
(MoM, FDTD, FEM) and their strengths and limitations.
  • Familiarity with microwave PCB design best practices related to Signal Integrity,
Power Handling, Impedance Matching and EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Strong foundation in PCB and antenna design related to DFM, DFT, and DFA
    best practices.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals in Analog, Power, and Digital
    Electronics.
  • Advanced experience with amplifiers, hybrid couplers, circulators, attenuators,
    mixers and waveguides.
