Salas O'Brien is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BIM Specialist to join our team. This role will support Architects, Engineers, and technical design staff in the development and coordination of Building Information Models (BIM) across multiple project types, including commercial office, mission critical/data centers, telecommunications, and industrial facilities.
The BIM Specialist will contribute to the development of BIM models at LOD 200, 300, and 350 to support design documentation, coordination, and construction deliverables. This role will also support broader BIM and Digital Delivery initiatives through the development and maintenance of BIM content, standards, and workflows.
This position reports to the BIM Manager and works as an integrated member of multidisciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain BIM models and associated project documentation throughout project phases.
  • Support Architects and technical staff with plans, sections, elevations, details, and coordinated construction documentation.
  • Produce and coordinate high-quality design and construction drawings using Autodesk Revit.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure model accuracy and project coordination.
  • Assist with clash detection and model coordination between Architectural, Structural, and MEP systems.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and organization of BIM content, templates, and standards.
  • Participate in Digital Delivery and BIM process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules, deliverables, and project requirements.

Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of architectural systems, construction documentation, and BIM workflows.

  • Experience with model coordination and clash detection.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards, content management, and digital delivery processes.
  • Interest in BIM innovation, automation, and digital workflows encouraged.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background: Technical diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of architectural or architectural engineering drafting/modeling experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using Autodesk Revit in a professional environment.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
