We support clients with daily reporting, materials testing coordination, schedule tracking, and quality assurance oversight. Additional services include project management, grants management for federally funded infrastructure and disaster recovery programs.

About the Role:

The Interior Design Professional will support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) READI contract by designing interior layouts and space utilization plans for temporary and permanent facilities supporting emergency response, disaster recovery, infrastructure restoration, and resiliency operations. This role provides interior design expertise for facility planning, occupant functionality, accessibility compliance, and space optimization in accordance with federal standards, life-safety requirements, and project-specific objectives.

The Interior Design Professional will develop interior space plans, furnishings layouts, finish selections, and design documentation that support operational requirements for emergency facilities, administrative spaces, shelters, healthcare facilities, and other recovery-related infrastructure. The position requires close coordination with architects, engineers, construction personnel, facility managers, and government stakeholders to ensure safe, functional, and efficient interior environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related design discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Accredited Interior Design Professional, such as NCIDQ-certified, registered interior designer, or equivalent recognized professional credential.
  • Professional experience in interior design, space planning, facility layouts, and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or comparable design software applications.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements (ADA), life-safety standards, and interior space planning principles.
  • Experience preparing interior design drawings, specifications, finish schedules, and furniture layouts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and federal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting USACE, FEMA, GSA, DoD, VA, or other federal facility and disaster recovery programs.
