Business Development Representative, Quality & Regulatory Affairs Technology

Overview:

IQVIA is currently seeking a Business Development Representative to support our Quality & Regulatory Affairs (QARA) Center of Excellence.

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in driving growth for the Quality & Regulatory Affairs (QARA) Center of Excellence by championing SmartSolve, a leading electronic QARA Management System, as part of our strategic Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives. This is a high-impact opportunity to engage with decision-makers across the MedTech and Pharma industries, uncover business challenges, and connect organizations with solutions that improve compliance, quality, and operational excellence.

In this fast-paced, growth-oriented role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, market research, outbound outreach, and inbound lead follow-up. Working closely with Account Executives, you will qualify opportunities, build a strong sales pipeline, and contribute directly to revenue growth. The ideal candidate brings a passion for consultative selling, experience with enterprise software solutions, and the drive to build relationships, open doors, and make a measurable impact in one of the most dynamic sectors of healthcare technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Qualification

  • Working closely with Account Executives to help build their pipeline by identifying early stage qualified opportunities
  • Contact potential prospect companies based on outbound cold calling into core and expanded markets
  • Generating a significant volume of live connects from these identified companies that are passed on to the Account Executive for further pursuit based on qualification
  • Setting up conference calls between the Prospect and Account Executive for qualified opportunities
  • Daily input of data to Salesforce.com from outbound activities including outbound calling, email, and social media
  • Updates should be performed on all Lead, Account, Contacts, Opportunities and Activity records in Salesforce.com daily as needed

Role Requirements:
The individual must possess strong skills in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related field.
  • Prior SaaS sales experience preferred, but not required.
  • Prior Life sciences or Medical Device industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Organization skills
  • Good communication (written and oral)
  • Cold calling into clients and prospects
  • Problem solving / trouble shooting
  • Salesforce.com / CRM experience

Optimum Skills or Background:
Knowledge of or experience with the following will lead to job success:

  • Attention to Detail
  • Multi-Tasking capabilities
  • Ability to establish a business relationship with prospects when required.
  • Volume Calling

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,600.00 - $103,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
