Job description

Position: Analyst I, Master Data Management – Supply Revenue (Remote)
Worksite: Remote
Employment Type: Contract
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

FocusPoint is recruiting on behalf of a confidential healthcare client for a detail‑driven Master Data Management Analyst (Supply Revenue). This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in structured workflows, pattern‑matching logic, and governed data environments.

This is a remote, full‑time position operating standard M–F business hours.

About the Role

The Analyst I supports the governed creation, maintenance, and quality monitoring of item master records. You will review request packets, validate product documentation, apply approved reference guide values, and ensure consistency across downstream system references.

This role is highly structured, accuracy‑driven, and focused on applying established rules—not creating new ones. You will work with item descriptions, manufacturer details, catalog numbers, packaging, size, unit of measure, contents, and other standardized attributes to confirm correct coding for chargeability, HCPCS‑related fields, revenue‑related fields, and other governed item attributes.

Key ResponsibilitiesRequest Documentation Review
  • Review item setup/update packets for completeness.

  • Validate manufacturer, catalog number, description, size, packaging, UOM, and related attributes.

  • Follow established documentation hierarchy (vendor materials, AccessGUDID, vendor email, de‑identified bill, etc.).

  • Escalate incomplete or conflicting documentation.

Supply Revenue Guide Application
  • Use approved reference guides and crosswalks to assign governed attributes.

  • Match items using category, keywords, manufacturer, catalog number, packaging, size, and contents.

  • Apply guide values exactly as written—no overrides or inferred logic.

Special Handling
  • Confirm contents documentation for packs, kits, and trays.

  • Apply standard rules for division custom kits.

  • Escalate unclear or incomplete requests.

Pattern Matching & Attribute Updates
  • Use spreadsheet lookups, filters, text comparisons, and basic SQL to compare request data to approved references.

  • Identify no‑match, multi‑match, duplicate, or conflicting‑match scenarios.

  • Prepare structured comparison outputs for senior review.

Cross‑System Data Quality Monitoring
  • Review dashboards, exception reports, and reconciliations to identify inconsistencies across governed attributes.

  • Compare item‑level attributes across approved system references.

  • Document findings and escalate recurring or unclear issues.

Exception Management
  • Escalate incomplete documentation, conflicting details, unclear guide matches, or items requiring business interpretation.

  • Document escalation reasons and attach supporting evidence.

Reference Data Stewardship
  • Maintain approved reference lists, controlled vocabularies, and crosswalk files.

  • Support updates to governed reference tables after approval.

Documentation & Audit Readiness
  • Maintain logs of documentation reviewed, guide matches, attribute updates, report findings, and escalations.

  • Follow governance templates, approval matrices, and workflow requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years working with structured data, workflow‑driven processes, or supply chain/operational data.

  • Strong spreadsheet skills (lookups, filters, pivot tables, conditional formatting, dataset comparison).

  • Basic SQL skills for predefined queries and attribute validation.

  • Ability to review vendor documentation, AccessGUDID, emails, and de‑identified bills.

  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency in governed workflows.

  • Strong pattern‑matching skills using reference guides and crosswalks.

  • Ability to identify incomplete, conflicting, or unclear matches and escalate appropriately.

  • Ability to use dashboards and exception reports to identify attribute inconsistencies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Healthcare item master, product onboarding, or supply chain data experience

  • Experience using guides, crosswalks, or reference tables

  • Experience reviewing product documentation and data quality reports

  • CDMP or APICS CSCP certification

Core Competencies
  • Adaptability

  • Team collaboration

  • Customer focus

  • Technical and professional skill development

  • High work standards and accountability
