Veterans Rethink Counselling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in providing outpatient mental health services to individuals overcoming substance use disorders. • Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments of patients seeking substance use disorder treatment, identifying their specific needs and goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client.
• Facilitate engaging individual counseling sessions by applying motivational interviewing techniques and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies to empower clients in their recovery.
• Lead group therapy sessions that provide a supportive space for clients, promoting dialogue, shared experiences, and collective healing.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists, to ensure cohesive care and enhance treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing acute substance-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and their families on addiction, recovery methods, and available community resources to facilitate a comprehensive support system.

• A accredited Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Current and valid mental health licensure such as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, evidence-based practices in treatment, and recovery-oriented approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering comprehensive individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients and their families.
• Proficient in utilizing various therapeutic techniques and tools, ensuring adaptable and innovative approaches to treatment.

• A minimum of three years of experience in a mental health or addiction counseling setting.
