• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews to determine the specific needs of each patient.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support circles designed to foster community and connectedness among patients experiencing similar mental health concerns.
• Coordinate effectively with psychiatrists and other clinicians to ensure an integrated approach to patient care that encompasses medication management and therapeutic interventions.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and safety planning as necessary.
• Educate patients about their mental health conditions and available treatment options, helping them to navigate community resources and support systems.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in adherence to all legal and ethical standards through electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Commit to continuous professional development by participating in training sessions, workshops, and relevant research activities.

The patient population you will be working with varies widely, including adolescents, adults, and families coping with diverse mental health challenges. • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-C (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage and inspire patients from diverse backgrounds.
