Black Gallina Consulting is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team! We are a small accounting firm specializing in small businesses in food and drink, retail, food manufacturing, and alcohol distribution. Our focus is on providing Fortune 500 expertise to the small businesses that make up our neighborhoods. About 80% of our clients are located in Seattle, WA with the rest spread across the nation. We act as an out of house financial department for our clients providing payroll, AP/AR, accounting, and advisory services.
What Your Day to Day Will Look Like
- Oversee, communicate & be responsible for a rotating group of new clients to ensure that they are well-serviced from A-Z and that they are kept satisfied
- Prepare & complete SOPs for new client’s workflows for the client services team to take over
- Assist in onboarding new clients by helping to clean up messy books
- Review the day-to-day work performed by others to ensure that everything matches the onboarding plan
- Be accountable for the quality and timeliness of all tasks related to group of clients that are assigned to you
- Assist with some of our special projects, such as budgeting, grant reporting, cash flow projections, KPI reporting, consolidations and other miscellaneous management reports that may be required by our clients
- Assist with bookkeeping & sales tax related tasks as needed
What You Need to Succeed
- You have at least 3 years of accounting experience
- You have some experience working in an accounting firm
- You are a clear communicator
- You believe in delivering awesome customer service and you have experience in a customer-facing role
- You are able to take a messy set of books and turn it into something pretty.
- You have experience constructing year-end financial statements
- You are able to and like working in a fast-paced environment
- You are exceptionally structured & organized. We work fully remote and independently on a schedule you set.Â
- You are a problem solver
- You have experience handing off projects to different teams
- You have corporate tax and personal tax experience.Â
- You have experience creating budgets, cash-flow projections and consolidations
- You have experience with Quickbooks Online
A plus but not required
- Fluent in Spanish
- Have experience bookkeeping for a small business in retail, restaurant, or alcohol distribution industry.
- Experience with Teamwork project management software
- Experience with any of the following software: Syft Analytics, Dext/Receipt Bank, Notion, 1Password, Okta, Plooto
- Experience with integrations between software
