Account Manager - Business Development
About the Position
As an Account Manager in the Business Development group, we are looking for a dynamic and relationship-driven individual to join our vibrant sales team. This role is all about growing existing accounts and qualifying inbound leads, with a strong emphasis on creating an exceptional experience for our clients. While prior sales experience is not a must, a robust technical background is highly valued. The ideal candidate is driven, adept at building meaningful relationships, coachable, and self-aware. They should also resonate deeply with our core values and be passionate about delivering unparalleled service to our clients. This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates.
Essential Responsibilities
โ€ข Account Growth: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities for account growth and expansion.
โ€ข Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound leads and convert them into potential sales opportunities.
โ€ข Client Engagement and Success: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing exceptional customer service.
โ€ข Sales Strategy: Work with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
โ€ข Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities using HubSpot CRM software.
โ€ข Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
Must Have
โ€ข Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar field from an accredited institution preferred.
โ€ข Experience: 6+ years of experience in a similar engineering or proposal role
โ€ข Previous experience in cost estimating, proposal writing, and/or technical sales is highly preferred.
โ€ข Good interpersonal and people skills
โ€ข Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Working Conditions
Work Environment: Work is performed in an office setting and some field work may be required
Travel: Typical: 10 - 15%
Physical Activities: Must be able to lift 25lbs.
