Key Responsibilities
  • Engage actively in small group supervision, including preparation for seminars and reviewing video recordings to enhance clinical practices.
  • Maintain accurate client records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring all documentation meets legal and ethical standards.
  • Coordinate with partner agencies to facilitate comprehensive services for clients, attending joint meetings and consultations as needed.
  • Conduct thorough research on best practices to support project assignments directed by supervisors, integrating these insights into counseling sessions.
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the agency to deliver holistic care, discussing client cases in team meetings.
  • Document case notes, assessments, and evaluations promptly and accurately to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment planning.
  • Participate in the development of Individual Treatment Plans (ITP) that are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Assist treating therapists with scoring, interpreting, and reporting psychometric assessments to support client evaluations.
  • Facilitate supervision sessions with the guidance of the site supervisor, contributing to the growth and development of fellow counselors.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and meet regularly with clinical staff to discuss ongoing cases, challenges, and successes.
  • Identify available agency resources to support clients and streamline service delivery processes.
  • Complete orientation and familiarize yourself with agency policies, procedures, and team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Prepare for client sessions by reviewing pertinent case notes and conducting relevant research to deepen your understanding of client issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Emotion Matters, you will work with a diverse client population, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. You will be instrumental in providing individualized care that embraces each client's unique background and experiences, empowering them to pursue their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • A valid Social Work License recognized by the state of Washington (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW).
  • Proven clinical skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, fostering a positive therapeutic alliance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with clients and team members.
  • No history of Medical Malpractice Claims, verified by a third party.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in an outpatient counseling setting, particularly in a remote work environment.
