Summit Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team, providing essential mental health support to young adults facing various challenges. Work Environment

This full-time LPC role is a remote position within a community health clinic framework, providing you the opportunity to work from home while still being an integral part of a supportive and collaborative online team. Key Responsibilities
  • Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging group sessions where clients can share experiences and support one another, fostering a sense of community and collective healing.
  • Individual Counseling: Provide personalized therapy sessions that help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You will assist them in developing effective coping strategies and action plans tailored to their individual needs.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to devise clear and goal-oriented treatment plans designed to meet their specific mental health needs, ensuring their involvement in the process.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate client progress using various assessment tools and feedback, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on young adults experiencing mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, and transitional issues. You will work to provide a safe space for them to express themselves and work through their experiences, inspiring hope and facilitating healing.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s Degree: A relevant masterโ€™s degree in fields such as counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required.
  • License: Must possess a current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure.
  • Relevant Experience: Experience working with clients dealing with mental health or mood disorders in either residential or outpatient settings is essential.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude is crucial as you work alongside dedicated professionals who share a commitment to fostering positive change.
  • Clinical Skills: Proficiency in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy is highly desired.
Preferred Experience
