Key Responsibilities

• Group Therapy Facilitation: Conduct engaging and supportive group therapy sessions that encourage sharing, connection, and mutual learning among clients.
• Individual Counseling: Provide empathetic and tailored therapy sessions, helping clients delve into their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to develop effective coping strategies.
• Treatment Plan Development: Collaborate with clients to create customized, goal-oriented treatment plans, adapting interventions to meet their specific challenges and aspirations.
• Progress Monitoring: Assess client progress through evidence-based tools and feedback mechanisms while continually adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, regularly communicating to ensure comprehensive care and support for complex clinical cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is young adults navigating mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and related mood disorders. As an LPC at Summit Counseling Center, you will be instrumental in guiding these clients towards recovery and resilience, fostering a safe environment that encourages open dialogue and healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current LPC licensure in the state of Oregon is required.
• Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment, specifically with young adults in either residential or outpatient settings.

Preferred Experience

• Strong clinical skills in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work well within a team-focused environment to promote our common goals.
• Experience in developing, implementing, and adjusting treatment plans based on client feedback and progress.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
