What is a remote rendering?

A Remote Rendering job involves processing and visualizing complex 3D graphics on powerful cloud-based servers rather than local devices. This allows for high-quality rendering of models, simulations, and virtual environments without requiring high-end hardware on the user's end. Professionals in this field work on optimizing rendering pipelines, ensuring low-latency streaming, and integrating rendering solutions into applications such as gaming, architecture, and engineering.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote rendering?

To excel in a Remote Rendering role, you need expertise in 3D rendering pipelines, computer graphics principles, and networked application development, commonly backed by a degree in computer science, graphics, or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Unreal Engine, Unity, NVIDIA CloudXR, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is typically required, along with relevant certifications in cloud computing or graphics technologies. Strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate remotely make candidates stand out in this position. These skills ensure high-quality, real-time graphics experiences are efficiently delivered to users over networks, meeting client and project demands.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote rendering?

One of the main challenges in remote rendering is optimizing performance to deliver high-quality graphics with minimal latency, especially when supporting diverse devices and varying network conditions. Professionals often need to troubleshoot hardware compatibility issues and ensure secure, seamless integration with virtual or cloud-based environments. Collaboration is frequently remote, requiring clear communication and coordination with software engineers, designers, and IT teams. Adapting quickly to new rendering technologies and cloud platforms is also a key part of the role, helping teams stay ahead in this rapidly evolving field.

Job description

Benefits:

LOCATION REQUIREMENT: You must live in the New York territory. Remote means working from home within this territory, with regular in-person client visits and local travel.
GrowUp Greenwalls | Full-time, W-2 | Work from home within your territory, with travel to clients | Base salary plus uncapped commission
Territory: New York
We are hiring one representative for this territory.
About GrowUpGrowUp Greenwalls is a premium biophilic design partner. We design, fabricate, install, and maintain custom living walls, preserved moss walls, and faux greenwalls for commercial and residential spaces across the US and Canada. Since 2017 we've delivered more than 1,200 greenwalls for clients including Google, Coca-Cola, Ralph Lauren, Hyundai, T-Mobile, and Cornell University, and our craft earned Platinum, Gold, and Silver honors at the 2024 International Plantscape Awards.
We're not a plant vendor. We're the partner architecture and interior design teams trust to take a bold biophilic concept from rendering to flawless install, on time, on budget, no drama.
The RoleYou own a territory and you build it. Your customers are the people who specify us: design directors, architects, and interior designers at high-end firms, along with general contractors, facilities teams, and residential clients. This is consultative, relationship-driven selling. Projects typically run from $3,000 to $50,000 and up, and most commercial work flows through a specify-then-subcontract chain where the person who chooses us is rarely the person who pays.
Winning here means understanding what our buyer is really purchasing: confidence that the finished install will match the vision they sold to their client. You guide prospects from first conversation through concept, specification, and installed reality, working with our in-house design, fabrication, and install teams in Escondido, California.
You report to the CEO and work alongside our VP Sales. You'll have inbound leads from our marketing engine, a library of CAD details and specifications, CEU presentations you can deliver to firms, and a design team that turns a conversation into a proposal-ready concept. The territory is yours to develop.
What You'll Do
  • Build and run a pipeline of commercial and residential opportunities in your territory, from prospecting through close.
  • Develop lasting relationships with architecture and interior design firms, general contractors, and facilities teams: the specifiers and channels our work flows through.
  • Run design consultations that uncover what a space needs and which solution fits: living wall, preserved moss, or faux.
  • Prepare and present proposals. Negotiate and close. Protect design intent and margin through procurement and value engineering.
  • Partner with our design team on the drawings and spec packages that make GrowUp easy to specify and hard to cut.
  • Deliver CEU presentations and lunch-and-learns to design firms across your territory.
  • Keep pipeline data, forecasts, and deal records clean and current in HubSpot.
  • Represent GrowUp at industry events and firm presentations in your market.
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of consultative B2B sales, ideally into architecture, design, construction, contract furnishings, or building products.
  • Fluency with the commercial specification process. You know how a spec survives, or dies, in procurement, and how to work with general contractors.
  • Genuine design literacy. You can hold a credible conversation with a design director about their intent, not just your product.
  • Discipline in pipeline management and follow-through. You run your territory like a business.
  • Comfort with multi-stakeholder deal cycles and project values from $3k to $50k and beyond.
  • Based in the territory you're applying for, with a valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly to client sites, firms, and industry events within it.
Nice to Have
  • Existing relationships with A&D firms or commercial general contractors in your market.
  • Experience selling design-build, custom fabrication, or premium interior products.
  • Familiarity with biophilic design, plantscaping, or the wellness-in-buildings conversation.
What We Offer
  • A base salary that covers the essentials, plus uncapped, competitive commission on everything you close. No ceiling.
  • Paid time off and a 401(k) plan.
  • A territory with real headroom and a marketing engine feeding it.
  • A product people genuinely love, backed by an award-winning team that delivers what you sell. Your reputation is safe with our install crew.
  • Small-team environment: direct access to the founder, the design lead, and fabrication. No layers between you and the people who make your projects real.
How to ApplyApply through this posting with your resume and a short note on the design-industry or specification selling you've done, and tell us which territory you're applying for.
