This full-time position allows you to provide critical mental health support to seniors and their families in a remote setting. Work Environment

This remote position offers the flexibility to balance work and personal life, featuring a standard work schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. As part of our outpatient office, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, nurses, and medical practitioners, to create a holistic care approach designed to optimize health outcomes for our elderly clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for each elderly client, identifying specific emotional and psychological care needs.
  • Deliver tailored individual and group counseling sessions to address a range of emotional challenges related to aging, such as depression, anxiety, and grief.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to formulate comprehensive individualized care plans that promote the mental health and overall quality of life for geriatric residents.
  • Educate family members and staff on effective strategies that enhance emotional well-being and positive engagement with elderly individuals.
  • Provide grief and loss counseling to both residents and families navigating end-of-life issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation.
  • A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in geriatric mental health counseling or related fields.
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based interventions tailored for older adults.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that enable effective communication with seniors and their families.
  • Ability to develop personalized treatment approaches based on comprehensive assessments.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
