• Engage in professional development opportunities to refine skills in crisis counseling and trauma-informed care.

Your primary focus will be on adult clients, particularly seniors, who are grappling with the complex emotions associated with loss, transition, and mental health crises. At Bright Hope, we emphasize the need for culturally competent care, recognizing that each client's background influences their mental health experience. Your role will entail developing personalized treatment plans that are respectful of each individual's unique journey.

• Education: A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
• Licensure: A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is necessary to practice in New York State.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of recent experience working in crisis intervention and mental health counseling is essential.

• Additional training or certifications in crisis counseling, trauma-informed care, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic services to clients undergoing acute mental health crises.
• Familiarity with remote counseling techniques and the use of telehealth platforms.
