We leverage a person-centered approach to therapy, emphasizing collaboration and empowerment as key components of recovery. We pride ourselves on our compassionate staff and our ongoing efforts to utilize the latest therapeutic research and practices in mental health care.

Work Environment

This role is designed as a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while still being an integral part of a tight-knit community health clinic in Fort Worth, Texas. You will primarily interact with our team of skilled professionals through digital platforms, maintaining a flexible routine that supports both you and our patients. We operate during standard business hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some opportunities for flexible scheduling based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather patient histories and design tailored treatment approaches.
  • Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing therapeutic modalities appropriate for each patient.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions that help patients process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and foster healing in a communal setting.
  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.
  • Developing and conducting crisis intervention responses in the event of trauma-related emergencies, working to maintain patient safety.
  • Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support systems.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, contributing to clear communication among team members.
  • Engaging in regular case consultations and team meetings while participating in professional development activities related to trauma-informed care and practices.
  • Remaining current with the latest research and practices in trauma therapy to ensure our patients receive the most effective care possible.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to childhood abuse, military combat, domestic violence, and other life-altering events. Our patient population consists of diverse backgrounds, and our goal is to meet them where they are in their healing process, providing culturally sensitive care that respects their unique experiences.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.
  • Solid knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to demonstrate compassion and support during therapy sessions.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related applications to maintain accurate records.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collective patient goals.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience post-licensure is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-focused therapies, group therapy facilitation, or specialized approaches relevant to trauma recovery will be considered favorably. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and credentials. Our benefits package includes:

  • A comprehensive healthcare benefits package providing medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions, allowing for future financial security.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay, facilitating a healthy work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for added peace of mind.
