Job description

Overview
As a Regional Safety Manager, you'll get to develop, implement, and drive key strategies and processes surrounding the adherence and continuous improvement of our documented Safety Programs. This role will also partner with business leaders and counterparts on Strategic Initiatives of the Business. The safety of our employees is always top of mind, so this role is vital to our organization, not only for our success but to ensure we're doing everything we can to send employees home the same or better than they arrived!
The RSM will cover all locations within Oregon, Washington, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Minnesota, and Iowa.
What You'll Do
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement key HSE programs and initiatives at the plant/facility level
  • Lead and ensure regional compliance with all applicable standards, policies, licensing/certification requirements, and regulatory initiatives including but not limited to:
    • Internal Safety Policies & Initiatives
    • Injury Frequency Rate
    • First Aid Reporting
    • Near Miss Reporting
    • Root cause analysis
    • Risk Mitigation Development and Implementation
    • Federal and Local municipality regulatory compliance (i.e., OSHA, DOL, EEOC, etc.)
  • Provides guidance and direction to managers, in consultation with operational leadership, on HSE and Environmental compliance issues, including Worker's Compensation, OSHA violations and Safety
  • Conduct and/or assist with investigations of reported or identified allegation of violations
  • Delivers role related training at the local level and participates in and supports the company's overall training initiatives
  • Drive leading indicator safety programs such as Near Miss to establish a proactive approach to the company safety performance
  • Develops, implements, and drives risk mitigation strategies and processes based on Safety data and trends
  • Extensive travel to facility locations supporting field management in remediation of identified gaps in compliance and business performance
  • Financial Objective Injury Frequency Rate, First Aid Treatment Reporting, and Near Miss Reporting

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years diversified experience in safety, environmental compliance, HR, operations/administration in a manufacturing or distribution facility
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the workweek
  • Six Sigma/Lean certification and OSHA 40 training preferred
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
