The Director of Field & Regional Sales plays a critical role in shaping commercial strategy and driving national sales performance. Reporting to the General Manager, this leader directs a high‑performing team of Regional Sales Managers and develops innovative, market‑focused sales strategies that accelerate growth and deliver exceptional customer value. The role ensures strong alignment and coordinated execution across all sales channels by collaborating closely with Wholesale and Direct Distribution Directors, as well as Operations, Marketing, Finance, and other commercial partners. The Director provides key customer and market insights, leads territory and pipeline planning, and leverages data‑driven decision‑making to optimize revenue, margin, and team performance. Success requires deep industry knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills, and a collaborative, team‑first approach, with travel up to 50% to support customers and regional teams.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop all Regional Sales Managers nationwide, including recruitment, retention, performance management, and overall team morale.
  • Build and execute regional sales strategies supported by strong KPIs to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and a high‑performing sales culture.
  • Oversee territory planning and ensure a strong, well‑managed sales pipeline through disciplined funnel management and opportunity creation.
  • Provide strategic customer and market insights to shape go‑to‑market plans, including new product launches, pricing strategies, spend deployment, and packaging direction.
  • Partner with the General Manager on annual planning, monthly forecasting, and performance evaluation across regions and product lines.
  • Strengthen cross‑functional collaboration by fostering strong partnerships with operations and other commercial teams to support seamless execution.
  • Continuously evaluate regional team deployment, performance, and structure, making adjustments to optimize market coverage and results.
  • Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate forecasts, manage pipelines, track sales activity, and ensure KPI visibility at the region, account, and product level.

Experience and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, ideally within the tissue, packaging, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing high‑performing field or regional sales teams across multiple geographies.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process from territory planning through pipeline management and account development.
  • Established industry relationships with customers, distributors, or channel partners nationwide.
  • Strong data and analytics capability, including experience with sales planning, KPI development, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  •  Exceptional cross‑functional collaboration skills with a strong grasp of how sales, operations, marketing, and supply chain intersect in go‑to‑market execution.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing abilities, leveraging insights, data, and customer intelligence to shape commercial strategies.
  • Demonstrated team‑first leadership style focused on alignment, transparency, and building a positive performance culture.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to support regions, customers, industry events, and team development.
