Job description

Join a dynamic team as a Remote Product Manager focused on creating a streamlined intake and request-management experience across a fast-moving operations environment. This 5+ month contract role offers the opportunity to shape a unified process, improve cross-functional collaboration, and bring clarity to how work enters and exits the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage a single front-door intake process for requests, submissions, and cross-functional asks across the function.
  • Evaluate incoming submissions, identify duplicates or missing details, and prepare well-defined requests for handoff to planning partners.
  • Establish and maintain intake standards, qualification criteria, and service-level expectations to support consistent, high-quality submissions.
  • Coordinate outbound requests to partner teams, tracking progress through resolution and maintaining clear follow-up on commitments.
  • Serve as the main relationship owner for external teams the function depends on, helping build trust and alignment over time.
  • Monitor request status, escalate stalled items when needed, and provide leadership with a clear view of priorities and open asks.
  • Develop reporting on volume, request types, turnaround times, and process bottlenecks to inform decision-making.
  • Continuously improve the operating model by identifying friction points and refining how work is submitted, tracked, and routed.
Skills
  • Experience in product management, intake operations, program management, or a similarly cross-functional role.
  • Strong ability to triage, organize, and clarify incoming work in a structured and efficient way.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Comfort managing multiple stakeholders, tracking follow-ups, and driving accountability across teams.
  • Ability to create and maintain process standards, workflows, and operational reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when assessing request quality and readiness.
  • Capability to work independently in a remote environment while staying aligned with business goals.
  • Must be able to support a W2 engagement and complete a background check and drug screen upon offer.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience improving intake or request-management processes in a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • Background in building reporting or dashboards that provide visibility into workflow trends and bottlenecks.
  • Familiarity with planning functions, operational governance, or shared service models.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment where trust and partnership are essential.
  • Ability to adapt processes as the business evolves and new stakeholder needs emerge.
