IT Systems Engineer

We'reseeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer with a strong background in Linux administration, automation, and cloud infrastructure to help design, implement, and support the critical platforms that power our organization. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building reliable, scalable, and secure systems whileleveragingmodern technologies, cloud services, virtualization, and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Working alongside a team of experienced engineers,you'llplay a hands-on role in administering and improving enterprise infrastructure, automating operational processes, and supportinghighly availableenvironments that serve our members and employees.

Key Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to perform the following duties:

Infrastructure Engineering & Operations

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions across Linux, Windows, virtualization, cloud, storage, and container platforms.

  • Administer andoptimizeLinux-based systems and services to ensure performance, reliability, and security.

  • Supportcontainerizedworkloads across on-premises and cloud environments.

  • Assistin the design and maintenance ofhighly available, scalable infrastructure architectures.

Automation Engineering

  • Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration management, and deployment automation initiatives.

  • Identifyopportunities toeliminatemanual processes and improve operational efficiencythrough automationusing Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

  • Experience using Git-based source control repositories to manage, track, andmaintaininfrastructure and automation code.

Cloud & Identity Services

  • Support Microsoft 365, Azure, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based infrastructure services.

  • Administer Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and role management.

  • Partner with security and infrastructure teams tomaintainappropriate accesscontrols and compliance standards.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application issues across multiple environments.

  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.

  • Ensuresystemsremainsecure, compliant, resilient, and aligned with organizational standards.

  • Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations for platform modernization and operational improvements.

  • Document system architectures, configurations, standards, and operational procedures.

Collaboration & Professional Growth

  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, developers, security teams, and business partners.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Stay current on Linux, cloud, automation, andcybersecuritybest practices.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or systems administration.

  • Strongexperience administeringLinux operating systemsin production environments.

  • Experience deploying, managing, or supportingKubernetesenvironments.

  • Experience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.

  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies including virtualization, cloud services, storage, networking, and identity management.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred

  • Experiencesupporting containerized infrastructure

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such asAnsible,Terraform, or similar automation frameworks.

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.

  • Experience supporting enterprise identity platforms and security-focused environments.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
