What is a remote recruiter?

A Remote Recruiter is a professional who manages the recruitment and hiring process for organizations entirely from a remote location, often working from home or another non-office setting. Their responsibilities include sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, and guiding applicants through the hiring process—all using digital communication tools. Remote Recruiters typically use video calls, emails, and online platforms to connect with candidates and employers, making them essential for companies with distributed or global teams.

What does a remote recruiter do?

A remote recruiter finds qualified candidates to fill job openings for their clients. Unlike recruiters that work in the office, remote recruiters often work from home. Your responsibilities include meeting with clients to discuss their hiring needs and obtain a list of qualifications and duties for the role. You search job boards, social media networks, and other relevant sites to identify job seekers that meet the criteria preferred by your client. Most remote recruiters perform an initial screening with the candidate on the phone and then may meet in person before forwarding the job seeker's information on to the hiring supervisor at the company. Remote recruiters are usually paid a commission if their client hires the candidate they found.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote recruiter?

To thrive as a Remote Recruiter, you need a solid understanding of talent acquisition strategies, candidate sourcing, and interview techniques, typically supported by experience in HR or recruiting. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting platforms like LinkedIn, and video interviewing tools is essential. Strong communication, organization, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for building relationships and managing processes independently. These skills enable recruiters to efficiently source top talent and ensure a smooth hiring process in a virtual environment.

What are some common challenges faced by remote recruiters, and how can they be addressed?

Remote recruiters often face challenges such as building rapport with candidates virtually, coordinating across different time zones, and maintaining clear communication with hiring managers. To address these challenges, leveraging video conferencing tools for more personal interactions, using scheduling apps to accommodate time differences, and establishing regular check-ins with the hiring team are effective strategies. Additionally, utilizing collaborative software for tracking candidates and sharing feedback can help ensure a smooth, transparent recruitment process.

Business Development Specialist ( Urgent Hire)

Connect Force

West Bloomfield, MI • Remote

$60K - $100K/yr

Full-time

Job description

         Client Acquisition & CRM Specialist

Remote | Commission-Based | Recruiting & Staffing Industry

About the Opportunity

Connect Force is looking for a highly organized, motivated Client Acquisition & CRM Specialist to help expand our client base and build a consistent business development pipeline.

This is not a recruiting position. Your primary responsibility is generating new business.

You'll identify companies with hiring needs, find the appropriate decision-makers, organize prospects within our CRM, execute email outreach, make strategic cold calls, manage follow-ups, and ultimately convert qualified prospects into signed Connect Force clients.

We're looking for someone who understands that successful business development isn't simply about making as many calls as possible. It's about targeting the right companies, staying organized, following up consistently, and building an outbound system that produces results.

What You'll Do
  • Research companies with active or anticipated hiring needs

  • Identify HR leaders, hiring managers, operations leaders, executives, and other decision-makers

  • Build, organize, and maintain prospect lists within our CRM

  • Keep CRM records clean, accurate, and up to date

  • Create and execute outbound email campaigns

  • Conduct targeted cold calls to prospective clients

  • Develop multi-touch outreach strategies using email, phone, LinkedIn, and other available channels

  • Consistently follow up with interested and previously contacted prospects

  • Track conversations, follow-ups, opportunities, and next steps

  • Move prospects through a defined business-development pipeline

  • Identify which industries, positions, messaging, and outreach strategies are producing the strongest results

  • Schedule and conduct introductory conversations when appropriate

  • Present Connect Force's recruiting capabilities to prospective clients

  • Work directly with ownership to continuously improve the client-acquisition process

  • Convert qualified prospects into signed and active recruiting clients

Who We're Looking For

The ideal person is:

  • Extremely organized

  • Comfortable making cold calls

  • Strong with professional email communication

  • Experienced with CRM platforms

  • Familiar with prospecting and lead-generation tools

  • Persistent without being overly aggressive

  • Comfortable communicating with executives, HR professionals, hiring managers, and business owners

  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision

  • Analytical enough to recognize which outreach strategies are working

  • Comfortable building and improving sales processes

  • Motivated by performance-based compensation

Experience with recruiting/staffing, B2B sales, business development, CRM management, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, outbound lead generation, or similar tools is highly desirable.

Compensation

Commission-Based / Independent Contractor Opportunity

This position is designed to reward both new client acquisition and quality of business generated.

There is no commission cap.

$500 New Client Activation Bonus

Earn $500 for every new client you personally generate that:

  1. Signs an approved recruiting agreement with Connect Force; and

  2. Provides Connect Force with at least one legitimate open position/requisition to recruit for.

A signed agreement without an active recruiting need does not qualify as an activated client for purposes of the $500 bonus.

5% First-Placement Accelerator

In addition to the $500 activation bonus, you'll earn:

5% of Connect Force's collected recruiting fee from the first successful placement made with a client you acquired.

Example

You acquire a new client and receive the $500 activation bonus.

Connect Force then makes its first placement with that client and collects a $20,000 recruiting fee.

Your additional 5% commission would be:

$1,000

Your total earnings from acquiring that client would therefore be:

$1,500

This gives you an incentive not simply to generate signed agreements, but to identify quality companies with legitimate hiring needs and strong placement potential.

Client Attribution — 90-Day Rule

To keep client ownership and commissions clear, Connect Force uses a 90-day client attribution period.

A prospective client will be attributed to you when you:

  • Personally identify or source the prospect;

  • Enter or properly document the prospect within the designated CRM;

  • Conduct meaningful outbound activity with the prospect; and

  • Maintain accurate notes and activity records within the CRM.

Once properly attributed, that prospect will remain credited to you for 90 days from your most recent documented meaningful outreach or interaction.

Meaningful outreach may include:

  • Completed phone conversations

  • Personalized email exchanges

  • Scheduled meetings

  • Discovery calls

  • Proposal or agreement discussions

  • Documented follow-up conversations

Simply adding a company or contact to the CRM without meaningful outreach does not automatically establish commission eligibility.

If there has been no documented meaningful activity for 90 consecutive days, Connect Force may reassign the prospect.

All client attribution and commission eligibility will be determined based on documented CRM activity and the terms of the applicable independent contractor agreement.

Your Role vs. Our RoleYour Role

Build the business.

Find the companies.
Find the decision-makers.
Organize the CRM.
Send the emails.
Make the calls.
Follow up.
Build relationships.
Get the agreement signed.
Get the opportunity activated.

Connect Force's Role

Deliver the recruiting service.

Once the client is secured and positions are opened, our recruiting operation handles candidate sourcing, screening, submissions, interview coordination, and placement.

You can focus on what you do best:

Opening doors and generating new business.

Why This Opportunity

This is an opportunity for someone who wants compensation directly connected to performance without being responsible for the candidate-recruiting side of the business.

There is no commission ceiling.

If you know how to combine CRM organization, strategic email outreach, persistent follow-up, prospecting, and cold calling to turn companies into clients, we want to talk to you.

Your success is measured by one thing: helping Connect Force build lasting client relationships.
