Advanced Medical Care Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor, specifically an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW, to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote position supports individuals grappling with substance use disorders, providing essential therapy and counseling as they embark on their recovery journeys. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, enabling mental health therapists to provide support from the comfort of their homes while remaining connected to the team. Regular operational hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. You will engage in collaborative strategies and utilize digital tools for record-keeping and patient monitoring.

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the needs, challenges, and treatment goals of each patient seeking help for substance use disorders.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual circumstances.
• Lead engaging individual counseling sessions using methodologies such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to foster hope and recovery.
• Facilitate dynamic group therapy sessions, creating a safe environment for patients to share experiences, learn from one another, and build a supportive community.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure seamless patient care and integrated support.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed, assisting patients through acute substance-related emergencies with compassion and expertise.
• Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, effective recovery strategies, and the array of community resources available to them.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development workshops to enhance personal and team growth.
• Stay informed of the latest research, treatment methodologies, and advancements within the field of substance use disorder treatment.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, many of whom are navigating life-altering challenges related to addiction. Our clientele includes a diverse population, with varying demographics and backgrounds, each with unique pathways and stories. Your efforts will not only aim at individual recovery but also at fostering resilience within families and communities.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities specific to substance use disorders and recovery-oriented care.
• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy that addresses addiction and its complexities.
• Strong interpersonal skills coupled with an empathetic and non-judgmental outlook on client interactions.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to ethical guidelines, and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and related computer applications.
• A collaborative demeanor, comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide cohesive patient care.

• At least two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in the context of substance use treatment.
• Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and cognitive-behavioral strategies.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral systems relevant to addiction recovery support.
