Job description

Location:

Fully remote role but MUST live in the state of Arizona

Schedule:

5am to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday (will be scheduled 8 hour shift)

Description:

The Referral and Authorization specialist is responsible for ensuring patients have been cleared for specialty service office visits; obtaining and issuing referrals for ancillary, consult, radiology or lab visits; receiving approvals for medication formularies, durable medical equipment, home health care and other items or services needed.

Prior authorization, customer support, customer services, Customer service, Epic, Insurance, referral intake

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years healthcare experience with specialty referrals (not pharmacy referrals)
  • Call center experience is a plus!
  • Medical terminology, Insurance verification, insurance benefit knowledge, referral processing and authorization experience required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surprise, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
