Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group psychotherapy to students dealing with various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of mental health and psychosocial functioning, applying both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to evaluate student needs effectively.
• Design, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that are grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to meet the unique dynamics of each student.
• Foster collaborative relationships with educational staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals to promote a holistic approach to student care, ensuring coherence across different support systems.
• Track and document patient progress using electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Facilitate educational workshops or support groups for students and families, focusing on mental health awareness, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Regularly review treatment outcomes and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed based on student feedback and progress.
• Uphold ethical standards throughout all interactions, ensuring confidentiality, informed consent, and compassion in every session.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Ampersand Counseling, you will primarily support school-aged children and adolescents who face a range of mental health challenges. You will be instrumental in helping students navigate their emotional landscapes, support their academic achievements, and build resilience in the face of adversity. The diverse backgrounds of your clients will enrich your role, allowing you to bring culturally competent practices into your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing psychotherapy and related mental health services.
• Exemplary communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with students, families, and professionals.
• Expertise in developing treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, showing a deep understanding of mental health theories and practices.
• Competence in utilizing electronic health record systems and a willingness to engage with technology for efficient service delivery.
• Strong grasp of mental health issues common in school settings, such as developmental disorders, bullying, and trauma.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a school environment or with children and adolescents specifically will be a considerable advantage.
• Familiarity with community resources available to students and families in the Fort Collins area.
• Demonstrated success in team-based settings, collaborating effectively with educational staff, parents, and other mental health professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
