Job description

BCT is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist II to play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client’s DART suite of applications and Corporate Systems. If you’re passionate about digging into details, solving problems, and making great products even better, this role is for you.

As a QA Specialist II, you’ll focus on manual testing, write clear and effective test cases for automation, and work closely with development teams to identify issues, suggest improvements, and help deliver outstanding user experiences.

SALARY: Up to $90K depending on candidate's experience, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Perform hands-on manual testing to validate software and hardware functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Write and maintain detailed test plans and test cases that align with business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze test results, report bugs, and verify fixes to ensure smooth releases.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to identify issues and recommend improvements.
  • Spot opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Write test cases that support automation efforts and work with automation engineers to streamline testing.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on test progress, timelines & potential risks.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 2+ years of experience testing websites, mobile apps, and/or hardware systems.
  • A degree in a technical or related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is welcome.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Experience writing clear, organized, and thorough test plans and test cases.
  • Strong manual testing skills, with attention to detail and a keen eye for inconsistencies.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile development environments is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages like SQL, .NET, or web technologies.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks and tools is a bonus.
