We are seeking Polish Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Polish is a priority Eastern European language frequently requested for asylum, immigration, and naturalization interviews.
Responsibilities
  • Provide real-time Polish ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
  • Interpret with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.
  • Maintain confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS standards.
  • Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
  • Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
  • Native or near-native fluency in Polish and English.
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, community, or government preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent communication and telephone interpretation skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 security clearance.
